Hightide 2027 Nähe A5 Weekly Vertical Diary

The Hightide 2027 Nähe A5 Weekly Vertical Diary runs its week in seven equal columns, each ruled from seven in the morning through to midnight. Nothing is weighted towards the working week, which is a small decision with large consequences for anyone whose Saturday fills up as reliably as their Tuesday. The paper cover has a matte, faintly chalky finish that takes a fingerprint and then forgets it.

At 192 pages this is the substantial member of the Nähe family, and the cut-away monthly index down the fore-edge means you reach the right month without looking. It weighs 322 grams. You notice that on day one and never again, which is the usual arc with a diary you end up trusting.

What Makes It Work So Well

• Your weekend gets equal billing: Every day has the same column width, so you stop compressing personal plans into a margin. Within a month you are scheduling your life rather than only your work.
• You find the month by touch: The cut index tabs mean you never thumb through hunting for March. You open it one-handed, standing up, holding a coffee.
• Hours that hold a day together: Seven through to midnight covers an early start and a late finish without wasting space on the hours you sleep. Nothing important falls off the bottom of the page.
